What does a boudoir session consist of?

Traditionally, boudoir sessions are defined as an intimate styled shoot. Brides will gift their session album to their husbands as a groom’s gift before their wedding day. Typically the bride will wear bridal themed lingerie or something that speaks to their future spouse’s desires. While this is perhaps one of the most common reasons people book boudoir sessions, we are getting more and more requests from women who just want to celebrate their femininity and have keepsakes of their milestone birthdays. More women book boudoir sessions now because of how it makes them feel not just about a gift for their partner.

We’ll greet you at our studio and give you a quick tour of all that our space has to offer. Bubbly in hand, we’ll chat about the outfits you’ve brought and browse through the lingerie collection we have in-studio, as well as posing during your session. Next, you’ll be seated with our amazing hair and makeup team from Karmel Design Artistry. These ladies will have you looking and feeling fabulous! Before you know it, it will feel more like a night with the girls instead of a photoshoot. 

The poses are sensual and the intention is for you to feel confident and sexy! Our intention at Ashley Jane Photography is to produce fine art that you can look back on and feel what you are — beautiful!
