We know you may have a few questions about booking your boudoir session. Here are some of our most popular boudoir session FAQs you need to know before booking with Orlando boudoir photographer Ashley Jane Photography!
The biggest boudoir session FAQ I get is what do I bring to my session?
We suggest some of the following:
- Lingerie and/or a bra and panty sets.
- A cute thong and boy short if you’re comfortable.
- A veil if you’re a bride.
- Off the shoulder shirts
- Oversized shirts
- Anything lace or sheer
- Tank tops
- White button-up shirt
- Heels
- Your favorite pair of jeans
- Anything you feel sexy in

How long do boudoir sessions typically last?
We suggest blocking out 3 hours for your boudoir session, which gives you time for hair and makeup and shooting time. If you opted for a same-day ordering plan for 4-5 hours.
How many outfits should I bring?
We suggest bringing in around 5-8 different outfits and we’ll narrow it down from there. In an hour, we probably won’t be shooting more than 3-5 outfits.
Can I bring suggestions on poses I want to try?
Absolutely!! We definitely want to get more of an understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. However, we do want to leave time in the session to roam free and get you to feel comfortable and not too posy.
Does Ashley help with posing?
Absolutely! While her style is more relaxed, she will coach you throughout the entire session on how to elongate the body and what angles will work best for you!
Do I have to hire my own hair and makeup artist?
Nope! We provide this service to you with your session courtesy of Karmel Design Artistry Team.
Should I get a wax before my session?
Yes, but try and do this a few days before to allow time for your skin to heal and the redness to fade. Same with eyebrows and threading.
Should I get a mani-pedi?
Please! There is only so much photoshop can do! Plus it makes you feel sexy from your head to your toes! As far as color choices, try to keep your outfits in mind when choosing, and if you have a variety of colors in your outfits, picking a nude or soft pink is always chic.
Will my images be shared on Ashley Jane Photography’s website or social media?
Only if you give us permission! We’d love to use anything you are comfortable with as this helps us show our future clients what we do! Some former clients have allowed images hiding their faces for instance. We are always appreciative of the clients that work with us and let us know what they are comfortable with sharing and what they are not.
Do you photoshop the images?
Yes, we absolutely photoshop. However, we are keen on staying on the natural side of things and protect the integrity of photography as a representation of real life and art. If you choose, we are always more than happy to add a little extra retouching if you desire.
