What was the purpose of doing your maternity boudoir session? Was it a gift for yourself? Your partner?
I was very hesitant to do a maternity boudoir session. I looked up many pictures of empowering women in becoming mothers and seeing how they embraced all the changes that had come with that. I was inspired! I decided to do my shoot and it was amazing! It was a gift for me, so I could remind myself every day how amazing us women are! I was able to carry my baby girl and I embraced every second of it!
How has your maternity boudoir experience affected you or changed you?
I was truly moved by my photos. Seven months of belly and I looked hot! I love boudoir shoots! It’s so empowering and you just feel amazing. With every day going and going it’s very rare you feel like a movie star and get treated like one! This is not my last boudoir shoot that’s for sure! Can’t wait to do it again!
What advice would you give someone who was nervous about or hesitant to book their own boudoir experience with Ashley Jane Photograpy?
I was actually very nervous about my maternity boudoir session. Ashley made me feel so comfortable that I actually forgot how nervous I was. She was amazing at giving me some tips and showing me how to pose and making sure I always looked good on the camera. My biggest advice is to have fun! Enjoy feeling sexy, get out of your comfort zone! Wear the red lipstick and put on some heels!
What was your favorite part of your maternity boudoir session?
All of it! From getting my makeup and hair done to posing for the camera!
