What was the main reason you decided to do a boudoir session together? Was it to celebrate your relationship, create a special gift for each other, or for another reason?
We truly just wanted to celebrate our relationship. Since becoming empty-nesters we felt that we have a renewed and reinvigorated connection and wanted to showcase that.
How did you both feel during the photoshoot? Were there any moments that stood out for either of you?
I feel like an absolute star!!! I never wanted the session to end. It was such a safe space for us to express ourselves together. Creating our shower scenes was our favorite part. We pushed our boundaries and took a chance; the results were stunning!
What was your favorite part of your session?
I don’t think I can pick a favorite part. Every moment from hair and makeup to outfits and scene changes brought a new excitement around every turn!
How has this boudoir experience affected or changed your relationship?
It has given me more confidence in loving my body. I have always been ashamed and tried to hide the vitiligo spots on my body because I thought they were “ugly”. After this session, I began to love and own them as my beauty markings and what makes me unique.
How did you feel seeing the final photos together for the first time?
Tears of absolute wonder and joy!
What advice would you give to other couples who may be nervous or hesitant about booking a boudoir session together?
Just do it! Push yourself to get out of your comfort zone and you will not regret it. The images capture a moment of empowerment.
