Hi loves — I’m Ashley.
I’m a wife, a mom, a dog mom, a sister, a best friend, and a woman who truly believes we’re allowed to take up space exactly as we are.
My hubby Jacob and I got married in 2015 and welcomed our sweet blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl, Evelyn, a year later. We’re the kind of family that genuinely just loves being together — whether that’s road trips, local festivals, wandering around downtown Sanford (our second home), or being at home doing absolutely nothing: crafts, Legos, video games, and simply existing together.
I’m a little art-obsessed — our house is basically a mini art gallery — and I love books, music, plants, all things spooky and magical, and pretty much any crime drama that’s ever been made. Creativity has always been a big part of who I am.
I grew up in the Midwest on our family farm, surrounded by boys, which meant being a tomboy came pretty naturally. Feeling “girly” didn’t always feel like me, and for a long time, I didn’t have the best relationship with my body. I think a lot of women can relate to that feeling of being slightly disconnected from themselves.
Later in life, my body asked me to slow down in a completely different way. Walking through breast cancer changed how I see my body — and honestly, how I see life. It taught me that a body can be strong and soft at the same time. That it can carry scars, fear, resilience, and still be worthy of love, beauty, and celebration. Learning to trust my body again was a journey, and it gave me a level of compassion I didn’t always have before.
Those two experiences — growing up not quite feeling at home in my body, and later learning to care for it through survival — now live side by side in how I see the people I photograph.
I’ve been shooting boudoir for over 15 years, and it’s always been such an incredible feeling to watch a client’s disbelief turn into delight when they see their images. But it wasn’t until I stepped in front of the camera myself — and learned to see my body with kinder eyes — that I truly understood how powerful the experience could be.
Boudoir, for me, is about more than photos. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely seen. A space where confidence doesn’t feel forced, and where you’re allowed to show up exactly as you are — scars, softness, strength, and all.
My hope is that every person who walks through my studio doors leaves feeling a little more grounded, a little more confident, and more at home in their body — reconnecting with parts of themselves they may have forgotten.
